Unclaimed funds of outstanding checks from vendor payments, deposits, over payments or any other transactions creating a credit balance are reported to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. This property is presumed abandoned and is subject to Texas Property Code, Title 6 – Unclaimed Property.

Checks valued over $100.00 are submitted to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and can be claimed by visiting https://claimittexas.org/. Checks valued $100.00 or less are published on our website for claims to be processed by prospective owners. The listing below identifies outstanding checks alphabetically by last name. If you believe you are entitled to funds, you must submit a claim form and send it to the Finance Department along with proper identification supporting your claim to ownership. The Finance department will review the information received and may:

  • Accept your claim of ownership and remit payment to you

  • Contact you for more information, or

  • Deny your claim by notifying you in writing

  • ​
