Energy Audit

The LMWD has been pro-active in seeking opportunities to make the water and wastewater facilities more energy efficient. In 2009, a preliminary on-site analysis was conducted for the purpose of identifying cost effective energy system retrofit projects. This service was provided at no cost to the LMWD through the Local Government Energy Management Program as administered by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, State Energy Conservation Office (SECO). This program promotes and encourages an active partnership between SECO and Local Governments for the purpose of planning, funding, and implementing energy saving measures, which will ultimately reduce facility energy bills. The District is evaluating the report to implement some of the recommended measures.
